Expo Tequila Tijuana

The festival is a cultural event because its main focus is on educating visitors about the types of Tequila in Mexico. Participants will have the opportunity to taste dozens different Tequilas from different parts of the Tequila region.  Other national beverages will be available for tasting as well. The festival will also have music, stage shows and a drawing for prizes.     WEBSITE

For those coming from the US who don’t want to drive, the festival location is a 5-6 minute taxi ride from the San Ysidro / San Diego border crossing. You can also take Mexicoach on the US side to arrive at the Av Revolucion (down town) bus depot about a block from the festival

San Ysidro crossing gets easier

Seven additional lanes are now open at the San Ysidro crossing from Mexico in to the US. The opening of these lanes has dramatically decreased wait times.

Ensenada road to reopen

AUGUST 26, 2014:  The scenic toll road between Tijuana and Ensenada has been closed since December 28, 2013.  CAPUFE announced that the road should be fully opened by September 15.  Additional repairs will continue through Spring of 2015 to shore up additional sections of the road.
