Expo Tequila – Tijuana

Where: Av Revolucion at 7th

The festival is a cultural event because its main focus is on educating visitors about the types of Tequila in Mexico. Participants will have the opportunity to taste dozens different Tequilas from different parts of the Tequila region. Other national beverages will be available for tasting as well. The festival will also have music, stage shows and a drawing for prizes.

The festival location is a 15 minute walk from the San Ysidro border crossing or a 5 minute taxi ride.

Mariachi Divas and Baja Idol Finalists

Date:  Friday, May 31

Time: 7:00pm doors open, show at 8:00pm

Place: Rosarito Beach Hotel – Salon Mexicano

 

The Mariachi Divas are the Grammy award-winning all-female mariachi group. They are the most decorated mariachi ensemble of either gender. Also featured will be performances by Baja Idol’s most talented vocalists from the second season. 

 

Tickets for the event are $10.00 US (125 pesos) for General Admission or $16.00 US (200 pesos) for VIP Reserved Seating. The event is a benefit for the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Rosarito Beach.

 

 

La Sexta – Tijuana night life

There is much talk about the bars, clubs and music scene of La Sexta (sixth street) and the positive impact upon Tijuana.  The Los Angeles Times did a profile on the young entrepreneurs who are pushing forward many changes in Tijuana.

Baja Blues Fest in Rosarito Beach

The first annual International Baja Blues Fest will be held at the Rosarito Beach Hotel on August 24 through 26.  The line up of entertainers includes Lisa Cee, Chet Cannon & The Committee, Stoney B Blues Band, Coyote Mike &  The Wetbacks, 145th Street Blues Band, Michelle Lundeen and more!

The location in Rosarito Beach is about 20 miles south of the San Diego / San Ysidro border crossing.  You can drive the Scenic Route (toll road) along the ocean or the free road along the inland route.  

Baja Beer Fest – Tijuana

Baja Beer Fest Tijuana

Location: Av Revolucion between 7th and 8th
in front of the Jai Alai

Beer from local Baja breweries will be available along with others.  Food will be available from local restaurants as well.  

Entry fee cover includes sampling cup.  Each brewer or distributor will have certain items for sampling with your cup while others may be for purchase.
